James Danekas has been actively involved in the beef industry for over 36 years, managing purebred livestock sales and livestock publishing. Over the past 36 years Jim has managed over 2,000 purebred sales, attended over 3,000 sales – cattle and horses. Jim has represented American Live Stock Inc. for 35 years and is current on the value and trends of the beef industry. As publisher of The Western Cowman and Angus, The Magazine, Jim is in daily touch with the industry, its producers and key players. Jerry Gay started in the cattle business in 1946 with Gay Hills Ranch Polled Herefords in Horn Lake, Mississippi, and dispersed in 1969 with a record sale in its day. He exported to Great Britain the first Hereford bull to be imported, which in turn became the top of their Register of Merit Sire list for a ten year period.

Jim and Cheri Gies operate a diversified farm/ranch operation in Northern Colorado. Jim was active in 4-H, FA, Jr. cattle breed associations, livestock judging, and was past president of the Jr. Hereford Association. He has spent nearly 40 years selling advertising and working the ring for two national livestock publications servicing both cattle and horse accounts in the western United States.

Both Jim and Cheri bring a wealth of practical hands-on experience, industry presence and knowledge of both beef cattle and Quarter Horses. They have been agents for American Live Stock Inc. for over 10 years and have a strong customer base extending from California to Florida with many repeat buyers.

Mark and Deidre Smith have a lifetime in the Registered Cattle business. With 15 years as representatives of American Live Stock Inc. they bring a wealth of experience and service to the midwestern cattle business. Sheila Jensen was raised in the beef cattle industry in Canada where her parents were involved with livestock insurance as well as raising top beef cattle. She is a graduate of North Dakota State University with a degree in Animal Science. Sheila and her husband, Kevin, own and operate a purebred Hereford operation. They show at the national level and have had the top Pen of three bulls in Denver for three years. Sheila can also be seen judging livestock shows and has judged the National Western Hereford Show with her husband.

T.V. Jones has spent his life in the livestock industry and has the knowledge and contacts to assist you in the purchase, sales or insurance of your livestock. For over 45 years he has been a licensed agent for American Live Stock Inc., specializing in cattle and horse insurance.

Kiesewetter Insurance Agency is a multi-line full service agency, started in 1970 by Edward L. Kiesewetter. In 1986, he was joined by son Daniel C. Kiesewetter, and in 1987 by son Stephen E. Kiesewetter. Edward has since retired and sons Dan and Steve continue the business.

Our agency has represented American Live Stock Inc. since 1981. Our expertise is in beef seedstock, primarily Registered Angus, as we have raised, promoted, shown and sold Angus cattle for the last forty years. We regularly attend selected Angus and other breeds production, bull and association shows and sales in Central Illinois.

Howard Miller, Inc. was established in January, 1963 during the Forth Worth Live Stock Show in the old Texas Hotel, with a handshake between Frank Harding (one of the founding partners of American Live Stock) and Howard Miller. Steve Miller is a life-long resident of northwest Missouri, and lives on and operates his family’s farm. In addition, he carries on a 70+ year family tradition of personal, prompt service for your agricultural insurance needs. He has worked with cattle literally all his life, and recently became involved in the Registered Angus business under the ranch name, Galaxy Beef LLC.

Steve understands the concerns and risks involved with animal agriculture, making him a valuable asset when it comes to livestock insurance.

Georgia is the owner and founder of Georgia Walker & Associates, Inc., an agency for cattle & equine related coverage. She has over 35 years of experience and studied Animal Science & Industry research at Kansas State University. Georgia has represented American Live Stock Inc. since 2004.

Prior to starting this Agency, she owned and operated Hill Country Veterinary Clinic in Austin, TX. Georgia is a member of the American Society of Equine Appraisers, American Horse Council, and the Missouri Insurance Agents Association. Her friendly persona and dedicated work ethic have made her a successful and popular agent. She treats others the way she would like to be treated, both personally as well as in her professional life.
